Indonesia state owned electric company is the reason why state owned companies have bad rep. Bad service is the least of its problems. It is clearly not ready to embrace EV, doesn't seem want to either. Frankly, I think a lot of global south have the same problems, that's why I'm not sure how to solve this in the near future. China can invest in electricity generation, but this is one industry where protectionism and nationalism are rife.
